Lake Raponda is a picturesque 121 acre springfed lake with cottages and homes gracing it’s shoreline. The lake enjoys a rich history of visitors including President Theodore Roosevelt, Rudyard Kipling, F. Scott Fitzgerald, President Rutherford B. Hayes to name a few.
The Town of Wilmington owns a small beach and picnic area that is reserved for local taxpayers and Wilmington residents. quiet and serene – Water activities mainly consist of kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing, swimming and small boats with the occasional water skier or tuber. No personal watercraft or large boats are allowed, making for a peaceful lake experience.
